Brush Clearing and Debris Hauling in Richmond, KY

Brush clearing and debris hauling in Richmond, KY is the unglamorous half of tree work, and it is the half most people actually want handled. Richmond Tree Pros chips and hauls brush piles, storm debris, and overgrown fencerows across Madison County — including piles somebody else left behind.

What we take

  • Storm brush piles and cut limbs already on the ground
  • Fencerow and property-line overgrowth
  • Honeysuckle, privet, and autumn olive thickets
  • Brush from a removal another crew did not haul
  • Overgrown beds, hedgerows, and volunteer trees along buildings
  • Wood cut to rounds that you decided not to burn after all

Piles that have sat a while

A brush pile that has been down for two seasons is different work than fresh material. It has settled, grown into the ground, filled with soil and vines, and often houses wildlife. It chips poorly and handles slowly.

It is still very much doable. We just quote it honestly rather than pricing it like fresh brush.

Chip on site or haul it off

Chipping on site and blowing the chips into a wooded edge or a mulch pile is the cheaper option and it keeps the material working for you. Hauling everything away costs more and leaves the place clean.

Chips make good mulch for beds and trails, with one caution — keep fresh chips off the trunks of trees and shrubs and out of vegetable beds until they age.

Before you burn it yourself

Open burning in Kentucky is regulated seasonally and locally, and the rules change through the year. Confirm current restrictions with the county before you light a pile, particularly in the winter and spring fire hazard season.

The Kentucky Division of Forestry is the authority on the state’s fire hazard season.

Common questions

Will you haul a pile I cut myself?

Yes. Plenty of our hauling work is cleanup after a homeowner did the cutting. Send a photo and we can usually quote it from that.

Can I keep the wood chips?

Absolutely, and it saves you money on the job. Tell us where to blow them.

Do you take stumps, dirt, or construction debris?

Woody material, yes. Soil, concrete, and construction waste go to different facilities and are not part of this service.

How do you price hauling?

By volume and access — how much material, how far it has to be carried to the truck, and whether it chips cleanly. A photo gets you a close estimate.
